Minerva softball standout Mady Phillips has decided to take her skills to the next level as she recently signed a letter-of-intent to play at the University of Mount Union.
Phillips will earn her fourth varsity letter this spring. A year ago, she was selected to the Northeastern Buckeye Conference and East District honorable-mention teams.
Joining her on signing day were her mother, Tina Donahue; and (standing, left to right) Head Coach Nicole Hilliard and Coach Katie Hannen.
"I picked Mount because I very much enjoyed the campus and because it is close to home," noted Phillips, who is undecided at this time on a major. "I'd like to thank Coach Hilliard and Coach Hannen for always pushing me to do my best, to give 100 percent, and always telling me I could do it. And I'd like to thank my mom, who has always been there to cheer me on through everything."
