Lady Hornets to close out regular season this Friday

The Lady Hornets were limited to two hits during a 10-1 loss to host Hiland.

Malvern avoided the shutout in the top of the seventh when Macy Zeiger singled, driving in Hope Whaley. Paige Elder had the other hit.

Elder pitched six innings, giving up eight runs, three earned, on 10 hits.

Strasburg - 15

Danielle Casler had an RBI single in the fourth inning, plating Kenzie Haidet, who finished the night with two hits.

Elder allowed four earned runs on 13 hits in four innings of work.

Tusky Central - 7

Malvern - 0

Recording hits were Zeiger, Haidet, Casler and Hanna Harsha.

Elder allowed seven earned runs on 13 hits in seven innings of work, striking out three and walking one.

Malvern (4-16, 1-13) will host East Canton today (May 11) and close out the regular season at Ridgewood on Friday, May 12.
