Minerva standout Bri Gassman has signed a letter-of-intent to play basketball at the University of Mount Union.

Gassman was joined on signing day by her parents, Stan and Charlotte Gassman; and (standing, left to right) Coach Mike Waller and Head Coach Heather Frigyes.

"I made a visit and liked the closeness to home, as well as their physical-therapy program," noted Gassman. "I liked the coach a lot and I really think she is going to make me successful. They feel I will play at the three or four.

"I'd like to thank all of my coaches along the way, and my parents for their support over the years."

Gassman led the Lady Lions to back-to-back district finals. This past season, she was selected to the Northeastern Buckeye Conference and District 5 first teams, and to the East District second team. She was named to the Division II All-Ohio honorable-mention team, and received the Coaches Association Scholarship Gold Certificate for maintaining a 3.2 or higher grade point average for seven straight semesters.
