Adam Moser took home a pair of firsts as Malvern finished second at the 2017 Inter-Valley Conference Middle School Track and Field Championships.
Moser set a meet record as he won the long jump with a leap of 18'7. He also captured the 100 with a time of 12.34.
Seconds went to the 4x100 (50.3) consisting of Derk Hutchison, Colton Gillogly, Kameron Huffman and Moser; Gillogly in the 200 hurdles (29.67) and 100 (12.73); Tommy Thompson in the 1600 (5:30.28); and Hutchison in the 400 (1:00.19).
Hutchison was third in the 200 (26.85), and Huffman was fifth in both the 400 (1:04.39) and high jump (4'6).
Garaway took home the boys title, lapping the field with 140 points. Malvern was second with 70, followed by Ridgewood with 68, Sandy Valley with 58, Newcomerstown with 47, Strasburg with 43, East Canton with 32, and Hiland with 4.
Raine Coblentz was third in the high jump (4'2) and fifth in the 200 hurdles (36.45), Britney Roessner was third in the 200 (30.93), and Lanie Bower was fifth in the 1600 (6:30.6) and sixth in the long jump (12'8.5).
