Malone University baseball player Keanan Locke added another accolade to his ever-growing list of individual postseason honors when the American Baseball Coaches Association announced its all-region teams.
The ABCA All-Region teams, which are voted on by Regional head coaches and presented by Rawlings, are one of three All-Region awards chosen by various entities.
Locke was among 16 players named to the first team. Malone, who finished the year 35-18, was one of two schools to garner three first-team picks.
Locke, a Minerva graduate, posted a .405 batting average with eight home runs and 53 RBI.
The 2017 G-MAC Offensive Player of the Year also collected 20 doubles, one shy of a Malone single-season record, and two triples. Locke slugged .690 and reached base at a .452 clip, finishing with a 1.142 OPS. On the base paths, he was 7-of-9 in stolen base attempts and scored 39 runs.
Defensively, he did not commit an error and was credited with two outfield assists.
