The Minerva girls track team nearly filled the stage when scholar-athletes were announced at the Spring Sports Banquet.
All totaled, 35 Lady Lions were recognized for maintaining a 3.4 or higher grade point average.
The Northeastern Scholar Athlete Award was presented to Joaquina Rossi, Ava Burman, Jordan Crowe, Jenna Daulbaugh, Ashley Gulling, Leah Hrusch, Kayla Kinsey, Madison Pearson, Mackenzie Scott, Natalie Crum, Kayla Eddy, Amanda Kukunis, Hailey Lawson, Idre'sia Leavell, Shelby Wheeler, Nelle Yankovich, Audra Burman, Abby Chaddock, Kenzie Fountain and Abby Stoffer.
Minerva Scholar Athlete Award recipients are Glorianne Fowler, Kylie Gambone, Maya Israel, Sydney Ault, Kyrsten Bartley, Jayde Chuckalovchak, Jaidyn Morgan, Hannah Wiedlebacher, Katelyn Day, Annilise Overbey-Green, Haley Kohl, Carly Koontz, Grace Vosi, Alexa Walker and Makayla Williams-Geer.
Receiving their third varsity letter are senior Emmalee Markins and juniors Ava Burman, Jordan Crowe, Jenna Daulbaugh, Brittany Moyer, Madison Pearson and Mackenzie Scott.
Two-year letter winners are juniors Ashley Gulling, Renee Hartong, Leah Hrusch and Kayla Kinsey; and sophomores Sarah Carver, Natalie Crum, Kala Eddy, Amanda Kukunis, Idre'sia Leavell, Alyssa Markins, Shelby Wheeler and Nelle Yankovich.

Reserve Awards were presented to juniors Glorianne Fowler, Kyle Gambone, Maya Israel and Harlie Woolever; sophomores Sydney Ault, Faith Baker, Kyrsten Bartley, Jayde Chuckalovchak, Adina Howell, Lindsay Lee, Alona Matthew, Jaidyn Morgan and Hannah Wiedlebacher; and freshmen Randi Blymiller, Elliana Bowersock, Katelyn Day, Kourtney Kogut, Haley Kohl, Carly Koontz, Madison Lembke, Madison Long, Annilise Overbey-Green, Grace Vosi, Alexa Walker, Makayla Williams-Geer, Daisy Wright and Alexis Zeidrich.
NBC first-team honors went to the 4x200 consisting of Emmalee Markins, Ava Burman, Amanda Kukunis and Alyssa Markins.
Earning league second-team honors are Mack Scott in the 3200, Emmalee Markins in the 200, Amanda Kukunis in the 400, and the 4x400 consisting of Ava Burman, Sarah Carver, Amanda Kukunis and Skylar Trussel.
Placing first at districts was the 4x100 of Emmalee Markins, Ashley Gulling, Idre'sia Leavell and Alyssa Markins.
District runner-up medals went to the 4x200 of Emmalee Markins, Ava Burman, Amanda Kukunis and Alyssa Markins; Nelle Yankovich in the 800; Emmalee Markins in the 200; and the 4x400 of Ava Burman, Sarah Carver, Amanda Kukunis and Nelle Yankovich.
Also qualifying to regionals were Alyssa Markins in the 100, Emmalee Markins in the 100 and 200, Sarah Carver in the 1600, Amanda Kukunis in the 400, Nelle Yankovich in the 800, Mack Scott in the 3200, Jenna Daulbaugh in the 3200, and the 4x800 of Nelle Yankovich, Sarah Carver, Ava Burman and Amanda Kukunis.
State qualifiers included the 4x200, 4x100 and 4x400.
The 4x200 consisting of Emmalee Markins, Alyssa Markins, Ava Burman and Amanda Kukunis earned All-Ohio honors as they place fifth at the 2017 State Track and Field Championships.
