The Ohio Farm Bureau is hosting a Grow and Know seminar at Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus on June 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cara Lawson, an event coordinator, says "the sessions we selected for this event are designed to help people understand how to best use and preserve the flavors of the season."
Participants will attend the main session entitled, "Growing Your Own Food and Going Green," as well as break-out sessions on canning and food preservation, container gardening, cooking with herbs and rain gardening.
The cost of the event is 30 dollars for Farm Bureau members and 50 for nonmembers. This cost covers all sessions, lunch and materials. To register, call 614-246-8276.
