Alliance Community Hospital and American Red Cross are holding a blood drive Friday, July 23, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., in conference room 1-A of the hospital.
In an effort to help the Red Cross have a sufficient supply of blood this summer season, first-time donors will receive a gift in addition to a free patriotic T-shirt that all donors will receive at this ACH sponsored drive.
Donors must be 17 years old (unless a permission slip has been signed by a parent/guardian for a 16 year old), weigh no less than 110 pounds and be in general good health the day of the donation. A photo ID or a blood donor card must also be presented at registration.
Scheduling an appointment can be done in one of two ways. By going online and establishing a personal profile, or by calling the ACH volunteer department at 330-596-7822 or 330-596-7821.
