Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church will conduct its sixth annual outdoor worship service Sunday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m.
The informal event will be at Bluegill Rock Chapel at the FFA Camp Muskingum, 3266 Dyewood Road SW, Carrollton. Bench seating will be available.
Attendees are asked to bring food, beverage, and tableware for a picnic, which will immediately follow the service.
On Saturday, Sept. 11, Mt. Pleasant Church will host its 23rd annual Mission Festival. An eat stand will open at 4 p.m. An auction of food, baked goods and a large variety of homemade crafts will follow at 5 p.m. Proceeds from inflated bidding will go toward a planned October community youth outreach event, which will feature Eric Samuel Timm, a performer at the recent Alive Festival, the Carroll and Tuscarawas counties Hospice House Project, and missionaries supported by the congregation.
