"Winter Grazing" workshops will be held Jan. 26, Feb. 23 and March 22 at Ponderosa, 1117 Canton Road NW, Carrollton.
Workshops will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the back conference rooms. Those who attend are welcome to eat, at their own expense, before the workshop begins.
At the January meeting, Dr. Keith Burgett will present on reproduction issues on pasture, minerals, vaccinations, and worming. Jeff Wood from Jefferson Landmark and Larry Love from Land O Lakes Purina Feeds will present on minerals for pasture operations.
The evening will conclude with several producers discussing their mineral programs and how it has worked for them.
The pasture workshops are presented by the Eastern Ohio Grazing Council in cooperation with Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, and Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the Natural Resources Conservation Service. For more information, contact Carroll SWCD at 330-627-9852.
