ROTC helps VFW with its greatest honor

Published:

For members of Veterans Foreign War Post 3301 and American Legion Post 428, one of the greatest honors is to provide a color guard during a veteran's funeral.

With the number of area veterans decreasing each day, the local veterans who provide this service are getting assistance from the Carrollton High School ROTC members. Local students, like Chris Barnhart, Jessica Facemire, Cassandra Stack, Justine McDermott and James Wolford, provide the color guard for the veterans.

Veteran Toby Davis appreciates the students for helping the local groups continue to provide this service to honor their comrades.
