Gordon's Furniture donates to the Carroll Park District

Gordon's Furniture, 103 East Street in Minerva, donated a queen sized bed complete with frame to the Carroll County Park District for the Joyce Hannon Bed and Breakfast at the Bluebird Farm Park.

"Everyone at Gordon's is extremely friendly. From the first phone call, I was treated like an old friend. They listened to what was needed and helped out the Bluebird Farm Park," said Dale Alexander, park district executive director. "The bed is very comfortable so we can also tell guests will have a comfortable night's rest, which we couldn't say before."

The original bed was owned by the previous lessee who removed it from the Bluebird recently.

To keep the budget trim, Alexander contacted local furniture companies for donations. Gordon's decided to help the Bluebird Farm Park.

The park district board of commissioners approved the donation and thanked Gordon's for their kind donation at the last board meeting.

To try out the bed, visit Gordon's or visit the bed and breakfast at the Bluebird Farm Park. Winter rates still apply. Call 330-627-8046 for reservations or for more information, see the website www.ccparkdistrict.org.
