Winter Grazing Workshops are planned for the 4th Thursday of February and March, at the Carrollton Ponderosa located at 1117 Canton Rd. NW., Carrollton. These workshops are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the back conference room.

Those attending are welcome to eat before the workshop begins at their own expense.

This month's workshop will be held Feb. 23. Clint Finney (NRCS) will discuss spring pasture seeding management, Kevin Swope (NRCS) will present on pasture soils management, and Roger Thomas of Thomas Ag will address fescue management.

On March 22, there will be a Grazing 101 course. This will be great for those looking to get started with grazing as well as those who are experienced as a refresher.

The Pasture Workshops are presented by the Eastern Ohio Grazing Council in cooperation with Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, and Mahoning Soil & Water Conservation Districts and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
