Chester A. Vance

Chester A. Vance, age 53, of Minerva, died Saturday, March 15, 2008 in Aultman Hospital following an apparent heart attack.

He was born May 31, 1954 in Canton to Arden (Edwards) Vance, of Minerva, and the late Chester H. Vance.

He was a steel worker at Republic Steel and a member of the Minerva First Christian Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Tania Vance and fiancé Franklin Monk, of Minerva, a son, Dylan Vance, of Florida; four grandchildren, Kyla, Hunter, and Brandon Vance, Sebastian Monk; and Jerry Mills, of Minerva, who was like a stepfather for years.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Friday March 21, at 7 p.m. in the Minerva First Christian Church with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the Minerva Athletic Booster Club.

Arrangements are by the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva.
