Samantha Jacobs is the newest addition to the David Kay's Salon & Spa team, bringing with her, expertise in skin care, and hair, especially color and cut.

Using skin-type analysis, Jacobs can recommend the best type of skin care for an individual, and can educate clients how to care for their skin at home.

A Carrollton High School and Buckeye Career Center graduate, Jacobs worked in the Waynesburg area previously, and focuses on facials. She offers specialty facials, which are customized based on skin type, or designed to address problems such as acne, premature wrinkles or smoker's skin. She also offers relaxation facials, which are for any skin type and simply feel good.

"I always knew this was what I wanted to do," said Jacobs, whose mother owns a salon. "I enjoy making people feel better."

Jacobs is currently offering $10 off hair color to any of her clients.

Jacci Fisk, who, with her husband, Jim Fisk, owns David Kay's, said, "She's very energetic and looking forward to building a clientele and career here."

The Fisks are looking forward to building a bigger team and offering more spa services in their new location at the site of the old brickyard in Malvern. They plan to break ground at the end of April, Jacci said.

David Kay's Salon & Spa is located at 411 W. Canal St. and can be reached at 330-863-0400. It is open Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
