Ruby M. Butcher, age 89, of Minerva died Sunday, April 13, 2008, in the Great Trail Care Center in Minerva.

She was born July 10, 1918, in Charleston, W.Va., to Forrest and Susan (Backus) Neal.

Ruby worked as a secretary for TRW Metals in Minerva, and the Alliance Senior Center, and was a graduate of the Canton Actual Business College.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Butcher, who died in 1978; a daughter, Roberta Sue Owen.

A graveside funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel at East Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements by the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva.
