On April 14, the Carroll County Sheriff's Department has arrested three men on felony charges involving the theft of scrap metal.

Deputies arrested Michael A. Scarlott, 44, of 10248 Thrush Road, Salineville; Lucas A. Scarlott, 18, same address; and Erich A. Kaser, 30, of 7074 Salineville Road, Mechanicstown.

All three men were taken into custody without incident after they were caught by deputies in the act of stealing scrap metal on another person's property in the Fox Township area.

Each man is facing one felony-five count of theft, as well as one felony-five count of breaking and entering as a result of this incident.

Sheriff Dale Williams advised that his office has made numerous arrests for this same type of crime over the last several months.
