CANTON -- The Stark County Save Our Homes Coalition will be holding a kick-off event at the Mayfield Senior Center 3825 13th St N.W. on Thursday, April 28, from 1-7 p.m.
There will be a variety of experts on hand, including HUD counselors, lawyers, credit counselors, employment counselors, realtors, mortgage officers, the Veterans Association and several others experts on housing and finances.
The coalition is dedicated to assisting families who are facing foreclosure or are reaching a point where they will soon be defaulting on their mortgage loans.
Assistance will also be available going forward by dialing 211- the United Way's information and referral service. Callers will be directed to appropriate experts and resources for guidance. The Web site is www.soh.co.stark.oh.us.
