Jean McCaskey

Jean M. Kinsey McCaskey, age 76, of Alliance died Monday, April 14, 2008 at her home.

She was born in Dillonville, Ohio, on July 20, 1931, to James and Marie (Horrigan) Penman.

Jean graduated from Dillonville High School and was a self-employed beautician for many years. She was the former owner of Kinsey's Kountry Kitchen, and Al & Dave's Pizza in Alliance.

She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Alliance, a member of the BPOE No. 467 Auxiliary, Ladies Shrine Club, Ladies Oriental, Ladies Shrine of Canton, Kadesh Court, Alliance Senior Center, Nomad's Camping Club and Order of The Eastern Star Chapter 120.

Jean enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and any deck of cards she came in contact with.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy (Dennis) Porter, of Atwater, Debby (Robin) Tatsch, of Alliance; son, Al (Charlene) Kinsey, of Alliance; six grandchildren, Nicola (Jamie) Hindel, David (Tanya) Tasker, Jason (Becky) Kachner, Heather (Steve) Lowers, Heidi Tatsch, and Nathan Kinsey; and six great-grandchildren, Breanna, Brennon, David, Logan, Jackson and Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Walter Kinsey, Aug. 4, 1985 and Harry McCaskey, Aug. 17, 2004; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 19, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor James McCurdy and the Rev. Ron Lanham officiating. Interment was at Fairmount Memorial Park.
