What do hard-working dogs, great-tasting Italian food, and dedicated volunteers have in common? All three are key components to Goodwill's second annual "Applause for Working Paws Dog Walk" kick-off dinner.

On Wednesday, May 14, Grace United Methodist Church, 1720 Schneider Road, North Canton, will host the event, and food will be provided by Carrabba's Italian Grill. The menu consists of chicken marsala, penne pomodoro, creamy parmesan salad, bread, and brownie dessert. Service dogs will be on site doing demonstrations, and sponsor sheets will be available for the upcoming June Dog Walk at Price Park. Tickets for the dinner are currently being sold for $14 and feature seating times at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The event will benefit the Assistance Dogs of Goodwill Industries and serve as a kick-off to the annual "Applause for Working Paws Dog Walk."

For more information, or to purchase tickets, please contact Robyn Steinmetz at Goodwill at 330-445-1032 or by e-mail at rsteinmetz@goodwillcanton.org .
