Raymond Dale RenickerApril 30, 2008
Raymond Dale Renicker, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Park Village Nursing Center in Dover. Formerly from New Philadelphia and Malvern, Ohio, he was born in Roswell, Ohio, on March 15, 1922, the son of the late Marcus and Beatrice (Day) Renicker. Dale was drafted in the U.S. Army and served during World War II, in the South Pacific and Philippine Islands with Company A 306th Engineer Battalion, in Japan. He worked at U.S. Ceramic Tiles, in East Sparta. He was Water Department superintendent for the Malvern Water Department and retired in 1982. He worked for TRW, in Minerva, and retired in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, JoAnn (Kenneth) Lucas, Jr., of Hanoverton; a son, Mark (Brenda) Renicker, of Paris; a step-son, Robert (Laura) Everhart, of Palmdale, Calif.; grandchildren, Michael Brunk, Chad Brunk, Aaron Renicker, and Noellyn Coalson; a sister, Wanda (Bill) Zeigler, of Midvale; two brothers, Dean (Diane) Renicker, of Dover, Jerry (Cindy) Renicker, of Dellroy; sisters-in-law, Jean Renicker and Bernice Smitley. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline (Ackleson) Renicker in 1982; his second wife, Nellie (Burroway) Renicker in 2000; brothers, Harry Earl Renicker and Charles Smitley. Funeral services were held at Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home, in Malvern, on Monday, April 28, with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.
