A new resource is available to help Carroll County pond owners manage their ponds. "Ohio Ponds," a seasonal newsletter containing pond-management tips and suggestions, is now available to pond owners, free of charge, from the Carroll County Office of Ohio State University Extension. The first issue of this newsletter for 2008 is now available by calling the Carroll County Extension Office at 330-627-4310.

The current issue of "Ohio Ponds" contains articles about the following topics: Controlling Geese; Unwanted Nutrient Sources; Aquatic Vegetation; Fish Stocking; Aeration; Grass Carp; and other topics.

Future issues of the newsletter will contain information about maintaining sport-fish populations in ponds; fish kills in ponds; maintaining water quality; and other topics.

Those wishing to be placed on the newsletter mailing list should call the extension office at 330-627-4310.
