A natural resource conservation expo in Carroll County will move forward thanks to a $4,736 mini grant from Ohio EPA's Environmental Education Field. Ohio EPA awarded the grant to the Carroll Soil and Water Conservation District, one of 12 Ohio organizations receiving a total of $50,000 to support environmental education programs. The conservation district will use the money to conduct a one-day expo focusing on sustainable agriculture and buying locally. The event will include children's activities and demonstrations on management of soil, water, forests, wildlife, energy and mineral resources.
