The April 15, 7 p.m. meeting of the Little Sandy Creek Ruritan Club featured the annual Father/Son Banquet held at Christ Memorial Church, in Robertsville, and was attended by 32 members and 10 guests. The ham dinner was prepared and served by the Sunshine Circle of the church with Mary Creighton, chairman. Group singing was led by Dick Beck and prayer was offered by Chaplain Terry Bailey.

President Dan Wilson opened the meeting when the secretary and treasurer reports were approved as read by Don Irwin and Dick Lotze, respectively. It was announced the Ruritan Sandy Service will be held on May 18, 10:15 a.m. at the Indian Run Christian Church.

Cash donations were made to the Paris Food Pantry, Stephanie Thornton Memorial Culinary Arts Scholarship Fund, Sunok Starcher family for medical expenses, East Canton High School after prom, send a student to Valley Forge and Osnaburg Historical Society dues. Church Bucher, of East Canton, was installed as a new member by Dick Beck and received his membership packet and pin.

Gary Aller introduced Dustin Royer, a professional 4-wheel rider, who displayed his 4-wheeler in the church parking lot and spoke about the cost and rewards of being a pro-rider. The meeting adjourned with the pledge to the flag.

The May 13, 7 p.m. Board of Directors meeting will be hosted by President Wilson at his country home on Lee Road, Malvern. The club's regular meeting on May 20, 7 p.m. will take place at Patties Place Restaurant of rural East Canton.
