The Lunch Bunch met May 1, 1 p.m. at The Ponderosa, in Carrollton, for their monthly get-together planned by Darleen Bumgardner, of Minerva. Ruth Weaver, of Minerva, offered table grace for the 27 present from New Franklin, Minerva, East Rochester, Waynesburg, Robertsville and Carrollton. Take-home favors were a variety of colorful ceramic mugs filled with a bag of animal crackers and centerpieces were ceramic teapots, provided by Mary Lu Haubert and Frances Shearer, of Robertsville.
Cards of encouragement and birthday greetings were signed for seven members not present. Glenna Blevins, of Minerva, read and told humorous jokes.
The June 5, 1 p.m. gathering will take place at Deb's Family Restaurant, of rural Malvern.
