Nurse association gives Outstanding Awards

Stark Carroll District Nurses Association held their annual Outstanding Awards presentation at the Kent State Stark Campus on April 18. The program for the meeting was "Nursing 2015: Race to the Future."

Winners of the 2008 Stark Carroll District nurses' awards were:

* Outstanding Staff Nurse: Kim Muniz RN, Alliance Community Hospital and Kathleen Reed RN, Mercy Medical Center;

* Outstanding Advanced Practice Nurse: Sharon Hoopingarner RN, Child and Adolescent Psych CNS, North Canton Medical Center;

* Outstanding Nursing Support: Tara Clemas, representing Summa Support Specialists; and

* Outstanding Student Nurse: Faith Bonam, Mal-one College; Kyle Shirkey, Stark State College; Lindsay Grace, Kent State University, Stark Campus; and Vincent Pilolli, Aultman College of Nursing.
