Mr. and Mrs. Bob Nehus

Bob and Marilyn Nehus, residents of Minerva for more than 45 years, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, May 17.

The former Marilyn Miller married her husband May 17, 1958, at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Moon Run, Pa., with the Rev. Giles J. Krysmalski officiating.

They are the parents of Mary (Duane) Dierschow, of Waxahachie, Texas; Jeanne (Joe) Ward, of East Rochester; Bob B. Nehus, of Malvern; Patty (Bruce) Ohler, of Mechanicstown; and Kathy Louive, of Minerva. They have five grandchildren, Carly Ferguson, Wesley and Olivia Dierschow, Brian Ohler, and Amanda Louive.

Bob was an engineer when they married. His places of employment were Westinghouse Research when they were first married. He retired from TRW Metals, and PCC Airfoils after 30-plus years. He is a member of Lions Club and Knights of Columbus and Buckeye Woodworkers & Woodturners. He enjoys woodworking and photography.

Marilyn worked at First National Bank, Central Trust, Bank One and Welcome Wagon. She is a member of the Catholic Women's Club and treasurer of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. She enjoys reading.

Both are volunteers for Community Meals. They have always enjoyed traveling, have backpacked the Appalachian Trail, and have driven to the northernmost point in Alaska.

The couple have nothing special planned for their anniversary.
