Forty mothers and daughters attended the annual mother and daughter banquet of the Paris Israel Church on May 3, held at the Minerva Senior Center, sponsored by the Women's Guild. Velma Schweitzer gave devotions and table grace prior to the buffet Swiss steak dinner, prepared and served by members of the center. Take home favors were butterflies. President Liz Shelt welcomed everyone. Beverly Souers, of North Canton, was the guest speaker and presented a program on "The Life of Shirley Temple" from an infant to her current age of 80. She also displayed a collage of Shirley Temple dolls and photos. Comments
