Joyce Lynn Wilson

Joyce Lynn Wilson, 60, of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, following a short illness.

Joyce was born in Charleston, W.Va., on Jan. 22, 1948, the daughter of the late James and Ernestine (Gunnoe) Saffel. She was a member of the Hall of Fame Single Sideband Club, and Team Mom for Carrollton High School Cross Country and Track.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 32 years, James Wilson; a daughter, Denise Lynn West of Bergholz; three sons, Kelly Joe (Catherine) West of Canton, Marion Lewis (Angie) West of Maine and Westley Owen West of Norfolk; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a sister, Tina (Bill) Light of Charleston, W.Va.; a brother, James Saffel of Massillon; a half-sister, Katie Keaton of Bancroft, W.Va.; and a step-sister, Donna Karnes of Linfield, W.Va. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Marion Lewis West in 1975.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 17, at the Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home in Malvern. Mr. Charles Hopkins officiated. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
