Minerva three-sport star Brooke Preston has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Mount Union College.

Preston (seated, center) is surrounded by her family, parents (seated) Steve and Lynn Preston and siblings (standing) Jake Preston and Morgan Preston.

"Mount Union is close to my family and I like their coaching staff," commented Brooke.

During her senior year, Brooke averaged 15. 2 points and 6.7 rebounds. She connected on 46.9 percent of her three-point attempts and 76.7 percent of her free throws.

She was named to the All-NBC and All-Stark County first teams and to the All-Ohio special-mention squad.

She leaves Minerva with two records - most field goals in a game with 14, and most three-pointers in a season with 46.

Brooke is eighth on the all-time Minerva list with 660 points.

The three-year letter winner was part of one district championship team and one district runners-up squad.

Basketball is not the only sport Brooke excels at. She also earned four letters in both softball and volleyball, for a total of 11 varsity letters.

Brooke is undecided at this time on a major.
