The Carroll County Grand Jury indicted a former Malvern coach and tutor of sexual battery on Tuesday, July 1.
Mark A. Common, 23, of Louisville, was indicted on two counts of sexual battery, each a felony of the third degree.
It is alleged that between March 29, 2008, and April 9, 2008, Common "engaged in sexual conduct with a student that attended school where he was employed."
Common was the head wrestling coach and a Title I tutor at Brown Local Schools. He was arrested June 3 and placed on administrative leave for the two remaining days of his contract. His contract was not renewed for the 2008-09 school year.
Carroll County Prosecutor Donald Burns announced Common and the 15 other people indicted by the grand jury will be arraigned before Judge Dominick E. Olivito, Jr., in the Carroll County Court of Common Pleas on Thursday, July 10, at 8 a.m.
