Three Malvern High School seniors and one college student were each awarded $1,000 from the Malvern Scholarship Fund.

Doug Wackerly made the presentation and explained the scholarships were funded through a golf outing and reverse raffle at Edgewater Golf Course.

Wackerly stated each year, three $1,000 scholarships will be presented to Malvern seniors and one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Malvern graduate who is attending college. Wackerly encouraged the graduates attending the banquet to apply for the college scholarship next year.

Receiving scholarships are (left to right) 2009 graduates Jesse Tucker, Vince Larson and Andrew Gascon and Kent State University student Corey Wackerly.
