Minerva baseball edged by Biery Cheese 6-4

The Minerva summer baseball team lost to Massillon 13-2. Jacob Eberling went 2-for-2 with a double, RBI and run scored; Levi Marshall was 1-2 for a triple and run; and Matt Nezbeth tripled.

Jonnie Versiackas went the first three innings, allowing eight earned on 12 hits. Mike Mayle pitched a scoreless inning.

The boys lost to Louisville Biery Cheese 11-1. Drew Prendergast went 1-for-3 and Versiackas went 1-2 with a run. Joshua Sayre allowed two earned on nine hits in five innings of work, striking out six and walking three.

Minerva was defeated by Biery Cheese 6-4. Eberling went 1-for-2 with a double, RBI and run; Sayre went 1-for-2 with an RBI; Marshall went 1-for-2 with two runs; and Prendergast went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Versiackas went the first two and 2/3 innings, giving up four runs, three earned, on two hits and six walks. Mayle went the final three and 1/3 innings, allowing one earned on one hit and five walks.
