Virgil Arthur "Art" Kibler Virgil Arthur "Art" Kibler, 90, of East Rochester, died Feb. 26, 2010, at his home. He was born Feb. 13, 1920, in Hanoverton, the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Kutv) Kibler. Kibler had been a carpenter for more than 50 years in the Hanoverton area. He belonged to the barbershop quartet "The Moonlighters" and participated in the United School minstrel shows. He was well known for his sense of humor and his musical abilities. A life-long member of the Hanoverton Christian Church, he had served as trustee, elder, Sunday school superintendent, song leader and choir member. He was a past member of the Hanoverton Ruritans, Hanoverton council and had been a Hanover Township trustee. In addition, he was a member of the American Legion Post 684 of Hanoverton, and a 70+ years member of the Masonic Lodge. Kibler served with the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Joseph Lutz, Ruth Coleridge, Wilford Kibler, Betty Swearingen and Ann Gotschall; and a grandson, Levi Blasiman. He is survived by his wife, Lucille (Batzli) Kibler, whom he married Sept. 9, 1950; and children Cindy (Larry) Deitch of Port Orange, Fla., Jeffrey (Lou Ann) Kibler of Mechanicstown, Pam (Tim) Blackburn of Minerva, Karen (Steve) Blasiman of East Rochester; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held March 1 at Hanoverton Christian Church. Interment was at Grove Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hanoverton Christian Church, P.O.
