The Carroll County commissioners proclaimed March as MS Awareness Month during the board meeting Feb. 25. MS Advocate Edward Hale presented the board with a proclaimation to sign, as well as orange totes reminding residents to "Move It" for MS. Multiple Sclerosis is an unpredictable chronic disease that affects the central nervous system. Hale reported advances have been made in the treatment of the disease, with the first oral medication expected to be available this year. Hale also presented the board with a basket full of oranges. Hale will be joining others affected by the disease for an Ohio Buckeye Walk for MS on April 24 in North Canton in Price Park. Anyone interested in learning more about the walk may see MSohiowalk.org or make a donation to Hale's participation by contacting Hale. Comments
