The Stark County Job and Family Services helps eligible individuals pay for vehicle repairs through its Prevention, Retention and Contingency services.

Families who are living at or below 200 percent of the poverty level and who have children 18 and under may qualify for the program.

If eligible, SCJFS will pay up to $1,000 to repair vehicles used for work, education, work-training or to search for jobs. Repairs must be performed by a business with a current Ohio Vendors License. Any repairs considered cosmetic are not covered.

To apply individuals may download an application at www.StarkDJFS.org, e-mail a SCJFS customer service representative at stark_csc@odjfs.state.oh.us, call 330-451-8861, or complete an application in person between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 221 3rd S. S.E. in downtown Canton.
