The descendents of Enoch and Rebecca Pennock, which includes (front, from left) Amy Pennock and Kaitlin Roberts; (back) Gloria Donohue, Deborah Roberts, Shirley Saling, Ruth Feiock and Harold Pennock, were recognized during the first family recognition Friday, July 4, at Municipal Park. The Pennocks were one of the first families to settle in the Minerva area, having migrated from Pennsylvania. The village was named after their step-great grandmother, Minerva.
