Minerva Police Report

April 23, 2008

April 10 at 5:22 p.m., while on a traffic stop, police arrested Robert Day, Minerva, for Driving Under Suspension. Day is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

April 10 at 11:57 p.m., police received a report of found property of a bicycle on Alliance Road. The property is being held at the Minerva Police Department pending owner notification.

April 11 at 12:40 p.m., police arrested Adam Oldfield, Minerva, on a warrant out of Canton Police Department for Failure to Appear. Oldfield was released to the custody of Canton Police Department.

April 12 at 12:23 p.m., police arrested Dan Carmine Sr., East Canton, on a warrant out of Alliance Municipal Court for Contempt of Court on Driving Under the Influence charge. Carmine was transported to Stark County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Alliance Municipal Court.

April 12 at 9:04 p.m., police received a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Wine Street. Arrested was Thomas Shreve, Minerva, for Domestic Violence. Shreve is scheduled to appear in Alliance Municipal Court.

April 14 at 2:30 a.m., police received a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Sandyvale Drive. Arrested was Samantha Wilson, Minerva, and Jamie Grogg, Minerva, for Domestic Violence. Wilson and Grogg were transported to Carroll County Jail and both will appear in Carroll County Municipal Court.

April 14 at 7:49 p.m., police received a report of an assault at a residence on Lincoln Street S.E. Charged was Sharleen Smalley, Minerva, for Assault. Smalley is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

April 14 at 11:16 p.m., police received a report of dogs at large on Ike Street. Charged was Steve Valentik Jr., Minerva, for Dogs at Large. Valentik is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

April 15 at 4:01 p.m., police received a report of harassment from a residence on Bridge Street.

April 17 at 8:03 a.m., police received a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle while parked on South Market Street.

April 18 at 6:55 a.m., police arrested Jeffrey Jett Jr., East Rochester, on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court for Failure to Pay Fines and Costs on Driving Under Suspension and No Operator's License. Jett is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

Accident Report:

April 15, a vehicle operated by Richard Bernardi, of Malvern, struck a vehicle operated by Clarence Forrester, of Minerva, while attempting to turn left onto West Line Street from Main Street. Both vehicles sustained functional damages and no injuries were reported. Bernardi was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way When Turning Left.
