April 6 - Deputies noticed while traveling Apollo Road between Scroggsfield and state Route 524 in Fox Township that a unknown subject(s) dumped four gasoline tanks and an assortment of tires from one end of Apollo Road to the other. It is estimated about 12 tires were dumped. Deputies called the Carroll County Waste District .
April 6 - An Arrow Road, Minerva, woman reported someone unknown to her removed a pile of scrap metal from her yard. The pile contained different types of metal and the estimated scrap value is unknown.
April 6 - Deputies were called to Lynn Road for the report of a person injured in an ATV crash. The man was transported by ambulance for injuries sustained while climbing a steep grade.
April 7 - Deputies were called to a Locust Street, Sherrodsville, property for a theft. The man reported someone had pried the lock off a storage shed he owns on a lot next to 8605 Locust St. sometime between Jan. 1 and April 7. The only items thought to be missing are two gas cans.
April 7 - A South Reed Street, Malvern, resident reported being harassed by a Bonnie Drive, Malvern, man.
April 7 - A Scio Road, Carrollton, man found a bag of trash dumped on his property and, when he checked the bag, he found papers with a name and address. The addresses were checked and no one could be found.
April 7 - Deputies checked into a Sherrodsville man's alleged violation of required sex-offender registration requirements. A check of the man's residence at 26 Sherrod Ave., Sherrodsville, resulted in deputies finding an empty apartment with a "for rent"sign in the window.
April 8 - A Seneca Trail, Malvern, couple reported they have not seen nor heard from their son since March 31. They began to be concerned about their son's whereabouts because he is ill. It was also reported they have noticed a chainsaw missing and $1,000 charged on a credit card.
April 8 - A Graph Road, Carrollton, woman reported that she thinks someone has been tampering with her vehicle's brakes.
April 9 - An East Grant, Malvern, woman came to the sheriff's office reporting she keeps receiving harassing calls from her ex-husband and his new wife. In the last call, they allegedly threatened to harm her.
April 9 - A Citrus Road, Malvern, man reported that a Waynesburg man threatened to harm him.
April 9 - Deputies received several calls about an underage party and a disturbance at the Lynnwood Apartments in Malvern.
April 9 - A deputy was called for a dog running at large at Lynnwood Apartments. The deputy spoke with a few people and saw the dog running at large as well. The owner of the dog arrived and explained the dog was being watched by another person and should have been chained. The deputy also reports that the dog did not have any dog tags showing identification. It is unknown if the woman was summoned to court or if the report was forwarded to the dog warden for follow-up.
April 11 - An Antigua Road, Carrollton, woman reported her friend borrowed her 1994 Chevrolet car and was to bring it back at 5 p.m. April 10. She reports neither the car or the friend has returned. Deputies advised her that since she let him use the car, she may not be able to file it stolen. However, she is to speak with the Carroll County Prosecutor's Office on regarding any other possible charges. She is to call if the car is returned.
April 11 - A Deacon Road, Bowerston, woman reported she had just installed a new fuel furnace and it was filled last month. Since that time, she only has about an eighth of the fuel left. She reported someone has stolen about 150 gallons of heating fuel. Deputies and the owner checked the fill-intake pipe and found that the cap was unscrewed and loose. There are no suspects in the case.
April 10 - An employee at the Mayle Group Home on Alliance Road reported a resident "came close to punching her in the face" after becoming upset when the employee questioned his smoking without permission. She reported the incident to the staff and has requested a transfer, because she is concerned for her safety. Deputies advised her to speak to the prosecutor about the incident.
April 10 - Deputies were called to a Canton Road, Carrollton, home, where it was reported a person has been calling the Carrollton woman threatening to come to her house to fight. It was also reported the person threatened to have her child's father killed, while he is in the Stark County Regional Correction Center.
April 11 - A Carrollton man showed up at a Malvern home wanting to get some of his personal belongings. He claims the woman would not let him have anything. The two started to argue and the Carrollton man called for deputies. Allegations were made that the Malvern woman slapped him on the face. No signs of injury were seen. The Malvern woman had a previous domestic-violence case against the suspect, but had the temporary protection order dropped. The Carrollton man was advised he could get his belongings out of the garage. The man only put two gas cans into a vehicle and would not load any more items. The man was told to leave, not to come back and to speak to an attorney.
April 13 - Deputies received a call of an underage party at an Alamo Road, Carrollton, location. When deputies arrived, they found people running in all directions and were able to apprehend some of the party attendees. A report has been forwarded to the prosecutor's office.
April 13 - Quad Ambulance requested assistance from deputies for a call of injuries from a fight at a Largo Road, Malvern, home. Upon arrival, there were several people drinking in the garage. Deputies spoke with a Minerva man, who had several red marks over his face and head. The Minerva man was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
April 13 - A Riverview Drive, Malvern, woman reported to deputies that someone was trying to steal parts from her vehicle.
April 14 - A Market Street, Malvern, woman reported someone removed a white ceramic two- or three-foot goose from her yard.
April 14 - Three Salineville men were arrested by deputies and transported to the Carroll County Jail on a charges of theft and criminal trespassing. The men were on the property of another, stealing metal to scrap for money.
April 14 - Baxter's General Store, Sherrodsville, reported a black Ford Mustang with silver stripes pumped $30 in gas and left at a high rate of speed without paying. Deputies learned the vehicle was stolen earlier in the day in New Philadelphia. A check of the area was made, but the vehicle was not located.
April 15 - Deputies were contacted when two locks were found cut off storage lockers on Canton Road.
April 16 - Deputies arrested a Parkland Road, Carrollton, woman on charges of forgery and theft. It was reported the woman admitted she wrote the checks, totaling nearly $15,000, after going through each page of the copied checks that the deputies had. She told deputies she was trying to catch up on her bills.
April 16 - A Gem Road, Carrollton, woman reported her ex-boyfriend keeps calling and harassing her since he has moved to California. The woman also told deputies he has threatened her. Deputies attempted to make contact with the California man, but were unsuccessful. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor's office.
April 16 - Deputies were called regarding a vehicle driving recklessly in the Conotton Valley High School parking lot. Deputies spoke with several people and attempted to make contact with the Dempster Road, Dennison, student's parents, but have been unsuccessful.
April 17 - A Lilly Road, Minerva, man reported to deputies that someone stole his J&J Refuse trash can.
April 17 - Deputies were called to an East Porter Street, Malvern, home for a possible assault. When deputies arrived they spoke with a Malvern woman who stated she was involved in an altercation. Another Malvern woman reported from the balcony of her aunt's apartment that the other woman pushed her down the stairs. Deputies saw no physical marks on either female and told both women to go home. It is unknown if the report will be forwarded to the prosecutor's office for review.
April 18 - A Parkland Drive, Carrollton, woman reported she had left her vehicle at Med-Ox on Gallo Road and noticed someone had taken a key or a metal object and scratched the passenger side of the car from the rear to the front when she picked up her vehicle on Friday morning.
April 19 - Deputies arrested a Waynesburg man at the Green Acres Mobile Home Park when they arrived for a reported fight.
April 19 - Deputies were dispatched to the area around the Firehouse Bar, in Malvern, for several individuals walking around with beer bottles in their hands and being loud. A Raley Avenue, Carrollton, man was arrested for disorderly conduct after arguing with the deputy that the individuals were doing nothing wrong.
April 19 - A Pledge Road, Carrollton, man reported thetheft of an air conditioner.
April 19 - A Linden Road, Minerva, man reported vandalism to his property. Deputies checked the fence line and found 35 lights missing and broken at an estimated value of $25 to $30 each.
April 19 - Deputies assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol on a traffic stop in the Village of Malvern. The deputy placed a female passenger into the sheriff's cruiser because she got out of patrol's cruiser and would not stay in the cruiser while the trooper performed the field sobriety tests on the driver.
April 20 - A North Canton man reported to deputies that someone has taken timber from his Oclet Road, Mechanicstown, property.
April 20 - Deputies were called to an Alliance Road, Malvern, home in regards to someone toilet papering a woman's yard and defecating in her lawn chairs.
April 20 - Deputies were called to a Blade Road, Malvern, home regarding property damage after an unknown person drove through the woman's yard sometime during the night and left skid marks in the grass.
April 20 - An Autumn Road, Carrollton, man reported that sometime during the night, an unknown person threw a rock through the rear passenger window of his 2005 Chevrolet truck andthere were dents in the fender. Deputies have no suspects regarding the matter.
April 21 - A Blossom Road, Mechanicstown, woman reported someone kicked open the basement door to her residence and removed a trash can, box of papers, and orange marker lights from her residence.
April 21 - An Avalon Road, Carrollton, man came to the sheriff's office to report that someone has been using his account to make calls to a chat line. The calls are being billed to his bank account.
April 22 - A Malibu Road, Minerva, man reported someone had opened an American Express credit card account in his name. The man had received a telephone call from American Express, who wanted to verify he had opened the account, which he had not.
April 23 - Deputies arrested a Moore Road, Carrollton, man at his home for domestic violence. According to the report, the couple had argued in the car while coming home from Canton. The woman reported while at the stop sign, in the New Harrisburg area, the man grabbed her by the throat, scratching and choking her. Deputies saw substantial red marks and scratches on both sides of the woman's neck. The man denied the accusation.
