Fifteen Robertsville Grangers attended the 55th annual Stark County Grange Banquet on April 30 held in the Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville.
The welcome was given by Shelba Givens, of Pike Grange. The tables were centered with an arrangement of flowers, which each grange took home.
The flag presentation was in the charge of Megan McNeil of Lexington, Devon Cumpston and Kyle Robinso of Pike, followed by the national anthem and Pledge of Allegiance.
The invocation was given by Chaplain Betty Colvin, of Plain Grange, prior to the family-style steak dinner prepared and served by members of the church.
Group singing was led by Kay Snyder with Lillian Munk at the piano, both of Robertsville Grange.
Stark County Grange Deputy Ed Cochran spoke briefly and recognized Helen Shoemaker, Judy Carrick, state Deaf Activities chairmen; Lyn and Ann Shank, state Family Activities chairmen; Richard Mahoney, state chaplain; Stark County Farm Board members and Subordinate Masters.
Get-well cards were signed for Luella Michels and Pearl Thompson and a "Thinking of You" card for Lela Patterson.
The program was presented by the "Echoes" musical group of East Canton High School, directed by Jolene Moody.
Door-prize winners from Robertsville were Richard Haubert, Mary Creighton, Kay Snyder, Bill Walter, Mary Lu Haubert and Betty Huber.
Announcements included Rural Life Sunday in the State on May 4; 5th Degree to be exemplified on May 17, at Robertsville Grange at 7 p.m.; Rural Life Sunday on May 18, at Magnolia Methodist Church.
The benediction was given by Mrs. Colvin.
