May 10 - An Avalon Road, Malvern, man stated he stopped at the Pizza Works in Malvern to give his girlfriend a cup of iced coffee and, when he came out, $223 was gone from his vehicle.
May 10 - An Aurora man requested deputies to his residence in regard to individuals coming into his house without his permission. Dylan Homes had left some doors that belonged to another house in their house by mistake and wanted to get them back.
May 12 - A Curry Drive, Malvern, man reported someone stole a catalytic converter from his Jeep.
May 12 - A Canton Road, Malvern, man reported someone stole a catalytic converter from his vehicle.
May 13 - A Second Street NW, Carrollton, man reported he thought someone stole a part off his vehicle, after hearing strange noise outside the night before. Deputies checked the exhaust pipe under the car and saw where someone appeared to have cut the converter off with some type of saw. The cuts were still clean with no rust.
May 14 - Deputies were called upon by a West Main Street, Malvern, woman because she had a confrontation with an Akron man. The man went to the woman's house to use the phone twice. The second time he was there, she got mad and told him to get out. The man did not leave right away, because he was waiting on a return phone call. The Malvern woman then struck the man with a baseball bat. According to deputies, no one wanted to file charges at the time and were referred to the prosecutor's office.
May 14 - A Carrollton School District bus driver reported a red vehicle passed his bus while his red lights were on and he was dropping off children on Steubenville Road. Deputies ran the license plate number given by the bus driver through the LEADS compuer system and learned the the vehicle did not match the description and was registered to someone in Cincinnati.
May 14 - Two boys from Pennsylvania were arrested by sheriff's deputies on charges of criminal mischief. A security employee for Atwood Lake Resort requested deputies because there were two unauthorized males in a cabin. It was reported they were pranking the other college students, and rival fraternities. One of the two boys sprayed the fire extinguisher from the maintenance cabin at the other college students.
May 15 - Sheriff's deputies arrested an Anderson Drive, Malvern, woman on charges of domestic violence after an altercation with her live-in boyfriend.
May 15 - An Elk Road, Carrollton, man reported his wife, whom he has a protection order against, had called his house twice trying to set up a visitation with the children. The man told deputies he wants her prosecuted for calling him. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor's office.
May 15- A deputy from the Lake Mohawk Post arrested a Lee Road, Malvern, man for operating a vehicle under the influence and assault. According to the deputy's report, she was investigating an intoxicated-male complaint and found the man driving a truck. It was reported the man stopped and approached the deputy's vehicle, wanting to know what the deputy wanted. The man then got back into the truck and began to drive again. When the Lake Mohawk deputy stopped the truck, the man exited his vehicle and walked into the water-treatment-plant building. The man was placed under arrest and transported to the county jail. Once at the jail, he argued with deputies. The man refused the requested BAC test and was booked into the jail.
