Minerva High School, Class of 2008, will graduate 141 students during its commencement exercises on Sunday, May 25, at 3 p.m. in the high-school gymnasium.
Students receiving highest academic recognition (3.90-4.00) are: Kourtney Betler, Jillian Green, Morgan Sanor, Jeffrey McPherson, Brandy Thompson, and Nicholas Michel.
Students receiving high academic recognition (3.60-3.89) are: Tessa DiGiacomo, Kathy Oyer, Robert Hill, Spencer Mapes, Emily Sechrest, Alexander Emrich, Mallory Evans, Sarah Barkan, Angel Devore, Jessica Goebeler, Logan Lab, and Ashleigh Mitchell.

The class flower is the red rose, and the class colors are crimson and gray. As its motto, the class selected, "Destiny is not a matter of choice; It is not a thing to be waited for, It is a thing to be achieved!" by William Jennings Bryan.
Senior class officers are President Kourtney Betler, Vice President Jillian Green, Secretary Stephanie Carson, and Treasurer Athena Spinell.
Commencement marshals are Corey Lawrence and Addie Riley. Mallory Evans is the class speaker, and the guest speaker is Superintendent Dr. Douglas Marrah.
The invocation and benediction will be given by Mike Zellers. Diplomas will be given by Minerva Local School District Board of Education members Susan Crawford, Jeff Evans, Robert Foltz, Jan Kishman and Stanley Pennock.
