JoAnn Johnson

JoAnn Johnson, 74, of Minerva, died Feb. 28, 2010, in her home.

She was born July 6, 1935, in Ashford, W.Va., to Dale and Christine (Barker) Nelson. She was a secretary and housewife. She graduated from Sherman High School in Seth, W.Va., in 1952.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Johnson; a brother, James Nelson; and a granddaughter.

She is survived by a son, Charles (Karen) Johnson of Minerva; four daughters, Cathy Johnson of Florida, Jeanie Mullins of Minerva, and Debbie and Vicki of DeCature, Ill; a sister, Shirley Reynolds of St. Albans, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and two great grandsons.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held this Friday, March 5, at 7 p.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Ralph Norman officiating. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to services.
