Marion G. Hinton
Age 84 of Salineville and most recently Minerva died March 7, 2010, in Aultman Hospital. He was born Aug. 29, 1925, in Salineville to Joseph and Hazel (Gray) Hinton. He retired from TRW in Minerva and worked part time for the PCC Prototype Foundry after retirement. He was a dairy farmer, member of the Carrollton United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII, Life member of the Minerva VFW Post #4120, Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199 and an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his former wife Ellen Borland of Salineville, four daughters, Sherry (Ronald) Martin of Wadsworth, Beverly Tripp of Wilson, N.C., Virginia (James) Ward of Minerva, Lora Hinton of Minerva, three sons, Thomas (Sue) Hinton of Minerva, William (Kaye) Hinton of Salineville, Jerry (Abby) Hinton of Carrollton; two sisters, Edna Jean Baker of Columbus, Roxie Sutton of Mechanicstown; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by sister Irene Leishman and two infant sisters, and two brothers, Charles and Harry Hinton.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 11, in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Harold Barber officiating. Burial with full military services will be in the Mechanicstown Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
