Frank R. VanMeter, 65, of Malvern, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 2010, at Aultman Hospital.
He was born April 8, 1945, in Canton, to the late Carl and Mary VanMeter. Frank was a Vietnam veteran, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed golfing and riding motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Draher, and brother, David VanMeter. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Carol, and daughter, Kaitlin VanMeter of the home; sister, Gladys Sacks of Silverdale, Wash.; special friends, the Derheimer family of Malvern; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In honoring Frank's wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
