Anita Marlowe Lynch

Anita Marlowe Lynch, known as "Neety," "Aunt Bud," or "Shorty Marlowe," of Minerva, was taken home to the loving arms of Jesus and all the family members who awaited her arrival, including her parents Thomas and Margaret Marlowe; her sisters and their families, Saccrissa and John Toalston, their daughter, Pat, and granddaughter, Susan; Catherine and Karl Summer and son Karl Jr.;. and her brother, Charles Leonard, as well as her husband, Louis Patrick Lynch and his family.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Carolee and Russell McCauley; her granddaughter, Denise and great-grandsons Alec and Mason; as well as her nephews, Scott and Steve Summer; great-niece Lorie Wagner; and niece, Maureen Lynch Cormack and family.

Anita passed away peacefully with her family at her side early Wednesday morning, Jan. 25, 2012. Had she lived six months and one day, she would have been 90 years old.

Anita was a proud graduate of McKinley High School and Canton Actual Business College. She was born July 26, 1922, in Minerva.

She was a pioneer in women's talk shows in the late 40s and 50s on WAND radio and emceed numerous style shows and interviewed celebs visiting Canton. She later was employed at the Minerva Leader for 24 years and the Coshocton Tribune daily newspaper for 10 years as the lifestyle editor. In the late 60s and early 70s, she had a talk show on WJAN-TV.

Throughout the years, she devoted her time to her daughter with the PTA, Girl Scout Council, church activities and community involvement. She was also in the Minerva Woman's Club. She was a proud patriot who loved her country and the Democratic party.

There are so many people to thank for the care of Anita throughout the years, especially Dr. John Thompson and the wonderful staff at Aultman Hospital and Alliance Community Hospital. Also, a special thank you to her many prayer partners through the years.

At this time, there will be no public memorial.
