Nancy Carole (Niuman) Wilson died peacefully at University of Kansas Medical Center on Nov. 3, 2012 with her loving family by her side.
She was born on Sept. 5, 1944, in Canton to the late Delbert and Elsie (VanFossen) Niuman. She was a 1962 graduate of Minerva High School and was the owner and operator of Slimmer Image Weight Loss Center in Overland Park, Kan.
Nancy is survived by her two sons, Chaun (Angie) Wilson of Raymore, Mo. and Lance (Christi) Wilson of Indio, Calif., along with five grandchildren, Kyle, Kody, Kaiden, Woody and Lanny who were the light of her life. She is also survived by a sister, Kitty (Bob) Ostarchvic of Minerva; three nieces, Tabitha (Chris) Brewster, Kyrstin (Brian) McPeek, and Whitnee Maddrell; and their children. She leaves behind three beloved pets, Callie, Chewy and Sparky.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Delbert and Elsie Niuman, and sister Bonnie Maddrell. She is a member of First Christian Church in Minerva and a member of Legacy Christian Church in Overland Park, Kan.
Following cremation, the family will hold Celebration of Life services in Kansas City and Ohio. Kansas City services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m., at Legacy Christian Church, 10150 Antioch Road, Overland Park, Kan. Ohio services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2 p.m., at Minerva First Christian Church, 300 W. Lincoln Way, Minerva.
