Richard Joseph Contini, 75, of Malvern, passed away Friday, November 30th, 2012 at his home while in the company of family members.
Dick was born in Dover, on June 27, 1937, a son of the late Victoria (Santilli) and Rocco Contini.
He worked as a car salesman, a loan officer at People's Merchant Bank in Canton, and was a bus driver for Brown Local Schools. Dick began R. Contini Insurance in 1976 and retired in 1999.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Post 375, and was one of the founders of the Malvern Athletic Booster Club. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Dick is survived by his wife of 50years, Jacqueline (Bille) Contini; two daughters, Dorie (Jeffrey) Kapron, of Malvern, and Deborah (Daniel) Finck, of Lancaster; a son, Vincent (Angela) Contini, of Powell; a sister, Doris Eltrich, of Parma; a brother, Donald (Marta) Contini, of Granville; a sister-in law Lee Contini; and grandchildren Zachery and Max Kapron of Malvern, Casey and Sam Finck of Lancaster, and Dominic and Natalie Contini of Powell.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Rocco Contini and brother-in-law, William Eltrich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Malvern, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, with Celebrant Father Victor Cinson.
Friends are invited to call Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
