F.W. "Bill" Granger, 77, of Homeworth, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Nov. 22, 1935, in Hookstown, Pa., to Ross and Opal (Kelly) Granger. He retired as a journeyman electrician and superintendant for Morgan Engineering in Alliance. He was a 1953 graduate of Minerva High School and loved motorcycles, playing music and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Thomas) Granger, whom he married Aug. 20, 1954; three daughters, Kay Monter of Robertsville, Kelly (Jim) Casler of Minerva, and Michelle (Michael) Thrift-Granger of Lonoke, Ark.; son, Michael Granger of Minerva; two sisters, Hazel Walker of Minerva, and Regina Mowder of Minerva; and brother, Lloyd Granger of Carrollton; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Dean Granger; and a grandson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 12, 11 a.m., in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
