James C. Strabley, 81, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, after a 14 month illness.
Born in Massillon, he had lived at Lake Mohawk since 1987. He was self-employed in the interior demolition industry, which he enjoyed greatly. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the St. Francis Xavier Men's Club.
Survived by his wife, Beverly (Roebuck) Strabley, of the home; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Danielle and Nick Burchett of Minerva, Betsy and Tom Elum, and Rebecca Strabley of Massillon, Christine and Jeff Kirby of Westerville, and Cynthia McDavid of Colorado; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Diane Strabley of Massillon; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Tom Strabley; mother, Margaret Strabley; and his father.
Family and friends met for a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, Dec. 31, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant.
